Bliss Salon and Spa, a hair salon in Lafayette, Indiana, recently had three of their top stylists participate in the Fashion Focus Show in Schaumburg, IL. The show featured numerous top styling talent as well as top industry leaders in the areas of business management.
Attending from Bliss Salon and Spa were Jessica Hands, Becky Wilcox, and Bliss owner, Bethany Tyrrell. According to Tyrrell, “We’ve (Bliss) always stressed learning the most current styles and techniques so we can bring back top fashion to Lafayette area residents. The show featured some of the top stylists in the country and the atmosphere was very exciting.”
The 2 day show featured seminars on color techniques, styling of long hair, new braiding techniques, “sewing” hair, and wrapping jewelry into hair. Tyrrell stated, “Hair Sewing achieves a loose, messy, tossiled look that is secure and will last all day. This new style offers endless possibilities from all up or part up…soft to edgy. The hair is gathered at the nape or crown. No matter your selects, it’s always beautiful.”
The show featured numerous top hair stylists as well as top fashion models to show off the new looks. The stylists show attendees chemistry of texture services such as perms, to straightening methods such as the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. Tyrrell adds, “One of the top cutting trends is the method of cutting “disconnected cuts”. The advantage of this style is that hair doesn’t blend from one length to another, but it flows together. This style creates lots of movement and texture within the hair This method can be enhanced with a multi-dimensional coloring technique.”
