Tamer Group distributes a wide range of international brands for medical, pharmaceutical, luxury and consumer products in Saudi Arabia. For a couple of years now, Tamer Group has been working on the improvement of their logistics operations which started with the construction of a new state-of-the-art large distribution center in Al Khomra region just outside Jeddah. They soon followed it with consultancy that was completed by SNS to identify operational bottle-necks and establish new processes based on best-practices. In March, Tamer released and RFP for a WMS solution to manage their warehousing operation.
Tamer Group selected SNS among the various applicants for the implementation of the Infor WMS Solution based on their large number of references in the market, their implementation skills, their local presence as well as the strength of the WMS they offer.
The solution proposed to Tamer Group will offer them fully RF Directed operations in the DC that guarantees the high inventory accuracy and maximum order fulfillment rate required in such operations. With end to end batch number tracking capabilities and stock rotation based on expiry dates as well as prices for their pharmaceutical products, the solution ensures minimum stock ageing and expiries in the warehouse.

Tamer uses Oracle ERP to control their other operations. SNS’ previous experience in integrating with the Oracle ERP will ensure the full synchronization between the 2 systems. With an advanced billing module, the Infor WMS will ensure that the future expansion into 3PL business of Tamer is catered for.
