Jaspersoft, provider of the most widely deployed business intelligence (BI) suite in the world, has been awarded a 2010 Open Innovation Award for being a top presenter at the Open World Forum Demo Cup, a competition that attracts the biggest players in open source. The award was presented in Paris, where Jaspersoft showed a demo of its business intelligence software and was up against 12 other open source projects. Jaspersoft was the only business intelligence solution to win.
Guillaume Autier, pre-sales engineer at Jaspersoft, had eight minutes to demonstrate to the jury and audience why Jaspersoft is the most flexible, cost-effective and widely deployed open source BI suite in the world.

Demo Cup winners were chosen as the “projects and solutions most likely to have a significant impact on society and on the marketplace,“ according to the Open World Forum. The Demo Cup jury consisted of investors, entrepreneurs, consultants and open source managers from leading IT services companies – all of whom are recognized as experts in open source and innovation. Jury members represented companies including Capgemini, Nuxeo, Via Innovation, Accenture, Bull and Internet Venture.
