Dog Royaltees has added an "Around the Web" area to their website where they post information about dog websites you can find on the internet. This addition has also led to the development of website reviews and an award system called "Royaltee Awards".
"We decided to add this to our website to give some value-added information for our viewers," said Stephanie Frieze, owner of Dog Royaltees. "It is actually not as easy as you would think it should be to find real information about dog websites on the internet. So we really hope this will be something our visitors enjoy."
Dog Royaltees (dogroyaltees.com) plans to write reviews on any dog website they visit. They are also accepting review requests from websites via an online form on their website.
When a website is reviewed, the reviewer visits the website like any other visitor would and then takes an in-depth look into the different areas available on the site. Details are collected about the focus, design, navigation aspects, length of time spent on the website, and most importantly whether the reviewer would plan to revisit the site in the future. Then, those details are compiled and posted as a review on Dog Royaltees along with a list of the Royaltee Awards they are eligible for.
The Royaltee Awards will be awarded monthly in the following categories:
• Best Informational Website
• Best Dog Store
• Best Dog Product
• Best Dog Photography
• Best Charitable Website
• Best Dog Blog
• Best Non-Profit Website
• Best Website Design
• Best Website to Navigate
• Best Dog Website.
Once winners are selected for each category, the websites will receive award graphics they can post on their site. Each year, the monthly winners will compete for Royaltee Awards of the Year.
So far, these two website have received full reviews by Dog Royaltees: JClegg Photography and ThePhillyDog.com/.
