A lecture presented this Saturday, October 9, 6:30 pm, at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Library in Portimao in Portugal promoted by the Association Cristovao Colon and by the City Hall of Portimao will reveal solid proof of the historical lie of an "Italian Christopher Columbus”
The invited speakers are Dr. Nuno Campos Inácio (Genealogia of Algarve), Dr. José de Matos Anastácio (Association Cristovao Colon) and Dr. Manuel Rosa (a Portuguese-American historian coming from the USA) who will present the results of his 20 years of investigation into the life of Christopher Columbus followed by a book signing session of Dr. Rosa’s book "COLOMBO PORTUGUÊS-NOVAS REVELAÇÕES" [Portuguese Columbus-New Revelation] (Esquilo, Lisboa, 2009).
This conference will prove, with genealogy facts related to Filipa Moniz, the wife of Columbus, that the current history of a wool-weaver Columbus is a fairy tale. The history of Columbus has been an enormous controversy for many centuries and lately even more so due to new facts that show a story completely different from the one in our school history books.
New technologies like DNA and Forensic Science are derailing longstanding ideas, held as truth, about the discoverer of America.
Everything indicates that Columbus was not the peasant Italian after all but a noble Portuguese spy, secretly infiltrated into the Spanish court by Portugal’s King John II.
A founding member of the Association Cristovao Colon, Manuel Rosa will also be taking part in conference at the prestigious Sociedade de Geografia de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal) and on October 11 he will be in Valladolid, Spain at the Casa Museo Colón where he will present "La Esposa de Colón -Comendadora de Santiago," [The Wife of Columbus-Comendadora of Santiago.]
Manuel Rosa, releases this week a new book in Spain titled "COLÓN. La Historia Nunca Contada," [Columbus. The Untold Story] (Esquilo - Ediciones y Multimedia, Badajoz, Spain, 2010).
A few months ago, on June 15, the Casa Museo Colón was host to Alfredo Pinheiro Marques, Portuguese historian, who presented "A Continuidade da Fraude Científica do 'Colombo Português', no Âmbito da Lamentável Situação da Historiografia Portuguesa nos Inícios do Século XXI" [The Continuation of the Scientific Fraud of the ‘Portuguese Columbus’ in the Scope of the Unfortunate Situation of Portuguese Historiography in the Beginnings of the 21st Century] in a direct attack of the members of the Association Cristovao Colon. On October 14 it will be Manuel Rosa’s turn in the same Casa Museo Colón to reply to the charges and show exactly who is basing their history on facts and who bases themselves on fantasy. We will show who is supporting history using frauds and who is revealing the true fraud of Columbus history.
The life of Christopher Columbus had remained shrouded in mystery up to now because he was in fact a James Bond-style secret agent for King John II of Portugal.
According to Rosa, the Spanish explorer convinced Spain’s King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella to open a new route to the “false India” to clear the way for the Portuguese to round Africa and reach the real India.
Since a rivalry existed between Castile and Portugal over the Atlantic trade routes, in 1483 Isabella planned the assassination of John II with the aid of two highly placed Portuguese nobles, Marquis D. John of Braganza and Count D. Lopo de Albuquerque, nephews of Columbus. This moved the Portuguese king to work out a conspiracy with the help of the admiral, who infiltrated the court of Castile accompanying his traitorous nephews, a historical fact clearly detailed in Manuel Rosa latest book “Colon: La Historia Nunca Contada.”
