Cohasset, MA, United States, 2010/09/29 - Van Consulting, a strategic consulting company, has partnered with WebSavvyPR to launch ArtpreneurBootCamp, an internet marketing forum for artists, which is launching webinar series, this October, teaching artists and creative entrepreneurs.

Artpreneurbootcamp.com will provide a quarterly 4 week webinar series, taught by Vangile Makwakwa and Cathy Larkin, teaching artists and artist entrepreneurs about business innovation and personal branding online and offline. During the webinar series artists will be taught to think abundantly, write a personal business plan and put together a PR and marketing strategy to reach their audience. They will also be taught to brand themselves online, use social media, videos and podcasts effectively to increase sales and reach new clients.
The last week of the course will feature a guest speaker, Darcey Hollingsworth, from whywebpr.com who will be talking about the social media press kit, a virtual PR marketing kit that acts as a virtual business card for companies and their products.
There are 4 sessions in each webinar series. The first webinar series begins Thurs., Oct. 28, 2010 8 pm ET. (See below for a free intro session Oct. 7)
“The art market is the most underserved market,” explains Vangile who is teaching the first two sessions, “most companies believe that artists are too poor to afford anything. The reality is that many creative entrepreneurs in our society such as musicians, event organizers, graphic designers and fashion designers are artists who have small businesses and are making a living off their work. Our webinars are tailored to these creative entrepreneurs to work with them to create an online marketing strategy so that they continue growing.” Larkin adds, "we will offer info on using social media and blogging as an effective way for artists, arts organizations and galleries, all entrepreneurs really, to reach their audiences directly," she will be teaching the third session on Social Media.
The artpreneur website will also feature free e-books about marketing and social media and will also have a membership based discussion forum where artpreneurs can come together to network and exchange ideas about social media marketing and offline marketing. Registered members will also have access to free webinars with guest speakers every month.
The free introductory session is on October 7, 2010 at 8 pm ET and will feature a business case study
