Verndale, a leading mid-market digital agency, was recently honored by the Web Marketing Association with two WebAwards for Outstanding Achievement in web development for their work on the new Commonwealth Magazine and Money Management International websites.
Now in its 14th year, the WebAwards is the premier award event for web developers and marketers worldwide. More than 2,000 sites from 45 countries adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year’s competition as entries were judged on seven different criteria; design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology. Verndale has received numerous accolades from the Web Marketing Association and continues to establish a benchmark for excellence within the industry.

Winning a WebAward for Outstanding Website in the Financial Services category is Money Management International (MMI), (moneymanagement.org) the largest nonprofit, full-service credit counseling agency in the United States. Verndale designed and developed the new site with a modern look and feel, intuitive navigation and taxonomy structure geared at providing their audience with improved ways to explore the site and find the most relevant information. Increased administrative site functionality through the integration of Sitecore CMS has given the marketing team at MMI greater flexibility and improved efficiencies to keep information updated, continually educating their audience with ways to improve their lives through financial responsibility.
Winning a WebAward for Standard of Excellence in the Magazine category is Commonwealth Magazine (commonwealthmagazine.org). Published by the nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank known as MassINC, Commonwealth Magazine is Massachusetts’ leading civic journal – covering politics, policy, ideas, and civic life, with an emphasis on investigative reporting, in-depth analysis, and political mapping. In conjunction with a broader online rebranding initiative, Verndale created a fresh design that maintained brand consistency with the parent organization MassINC (massinc.org). By leveraging Sitecore CMS, MassINC now enjoys the ability to easily update and share content across multiple sites, drawing heavily from the print magazine as well as original web-only reporting that provides additional content between offline issues.
