The STA series of S-Type tension/compression load cells from LCM Systems provide the perfect solution for measuring both tensile and compressive forces. With a wide range of ex-stock products, available for same day despatch with easy credit card payments, the STA series is ideal for a wide range of applications where high accuracy measurements are required. Typical applications include hanging scales, material test machines and general force measurement.
Four different models can be purchased. All have standard metric threads at each end that are designed to accept standard mating spherical rod-end bearings and can be supplied on their own or combined with LCM Systems’ comprehensive range of instrumentation to provide a complete load monitoring system. Popular instrumentation supplied with the STA load cells include the SGA strain gauge amplifiers and the TR150.
The STA-1 series has rated loads from 50 to 300kg, is manufactured in aluminium alloy and is environmentally sealed to IP66. For measurements in harsh environments, the STA-3 series is the range of choice. With load ratings up to 1,000kg, it is constructed in nickel-plated alloy steel and manufactured to IP67. For engineers looking for higher load ratings, the STA-4 is the tension/compression load cell of choice ranging from 1500 – 5000kg and along with the STA-3 series makes it a very cost-effective solution for many process weighing applications.
