On October 1, 2010, Guardian Digital Forensics, a leader in digital forensics, will introduce NetSentry Player, their second product in the NetSentry product line.
Data is reconstructed into the original transmitted content, including emails and attachments, file transfers (ftp), web page contents and downloads, telnet sessions, chat messages, peer-to-peer communications, VoIP, Skype and more. The software builds a database with all content categorized into protocols that can be searched by usernames, IP, email addresses, chat names, and other criteria….even wildcards.
NetSentry Player provides undeniable evidence in many aspects of suspected internet crime. Building a database of the company’s own PCAP data, with unlimited search function, provides the capability to investigate suspicious behaviors committed by those inside and often outside the company. A company’s timely incident response into suspected intellectual property and identity theft, data leaks, illegal and illicit behavior is immediately possible with NetSentry Player. NetSentry Player was designed for ease of use by non-technical administrators. Using the point and click GUI, set-up and administration of the system is quick and easy.
NetSentry Products (netsentry.us) will change the way Law Enforcement, Government Agencies, and Businesses of all sizes will investigate suspected criminal activity, protect proprietary information, and litigate crimes involving the Internet.
The Guardian Digital Forensics Consultants are experienced with examination of cases such as complex capital murder, sexual molestation, child pornography, fraud, employee wrongdoing, wrongful termination, cyber-stalking, product counterfeiting, plagiarism, and intellectual property theft. Larry Daniel, Chief Forensics Examiner and CEO of Guardian, has provided expert digital forensics analysis testimony for all commonly used digital products. Larry recently indicated his perspective on how NetSentry Player will impact the digital forensics investigation process; “I am very excited about launching NetSentry Player because recreating original content from stored PCAP data is truly powerful when investigating suspicious behaviors. We fully believe this is the product the US market has been waiting for.”
Kathleen Carter, Principal of Guardian Digital Forensics, is quite excited about unveiling the new NetSentry Player product, stating; “The costs associated with a forensic investigation can run into thousands of dollars…that’s money off the bottom line. With nearly one half of all data leaks coming from the inside, every company should be prepared. Getting to the facts fast and efficiently saves big bucks. Our Player product is an insurance policy and will prove ROI with the first use.”
