Singaporeans and local residents can once again satisfy their wanderlust or secure that well-deserved getaway at Singapore’s most versatile event venue when it plays host to the much-anticipated National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) Holidays 2010!
Set to take place from 27 to 29 August at Halls 3B, 4 and 5, this consumer travel fair will be the only major platform in the second half of 2010 for travel agents, tour operators and other associate members such as hotels, national tourism organisations as well as other travel-related services such as car rental and insurance, to showcase their latest travel products and services at truly attractive prices. 67,000 visitors are expected to visit this bi-annual affair (the earlier show was NATAS Travel 2010 which Singapore Expo also hosted back in February), which will also feature value giveaways and spellbinding cultural and musical performances on the side by Lan Yang Dance Group (China), Battle B-Boys and Pan (South Korea), among others.

Singapore’s insatiable appetite for travel
As the economy recovers steadily, with the Singapore government revising the growth forecast for 2010 from nine to fifteen per cent , overseas travel becomes a priority among Singaporeans again , with almost half of the 400 Singaporeans polled sharing that they planned to travel abroad in the next six months, according to MasterCard's latest worldwide survey.
Says Mr Robert Khoo, Chief Executive Officer of NATAS, “With the gradual economic recovery, we are anticipating an even stronger turnout at Holidays 2010. About S$63 million worth of holiday packages were sold at Travel 2010 in February and with the encouraging economic conditions, conducive infrastructural elements offered by Singapore Expo, as well as the excellent support services rendered by the Singex Venues team, we are positive that we are on track to yet another successful show.”
