As John Wesley College moves forward with its strategic plans, Wanda Clark has been appointed to the newly created position of public relations director, reporting to President Dr. Larry McCullough.
“We are excited to have Wanda join our team as part of our aggressive growth initiative,” McCullough says. “She represents our commitment to providing new choices for higher education as well as reaching out to the community with new professional development, certification training, and non-credit training events and seminars.”
Clark, who holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Trinity International University, has honed her communications expertise in a variety of business and non-profit settings. Her years spent in Brazil teaching English as a Second Language, resulted in exceptional fluency in Portuguese and sharpened her ability to transform complex concepts into easy-to-understand language. Hailing from multi-cultural Miami, Clark was well-known in the Brazilian business community for her extensive network and communications expertise.
“As she networks with business, community, and church leaders, Wanda will make the College better known in the Triad,” McCullough says. “We look forward to her ‘telling our story’ and demonstrating how the College can become more involved with the surrounding cities, and provide additional programs and services to the community.”
Prior to moving to High Point, Clark oversaw the administration of the 150-member Rotary Club of Miami, its non-profit foundation and a $3 million dollar medical scholarship trust.
