BIGSTAR.tv, the global headquarters for independent film, announced today the commission of Les Garland as an advisor to BIGSTAR founders. Garland, with a long history of successful ventures in media, has joined the BIGSTAR team to offer his vision and expertise toward business development, content acquisition, distribution, marketing, promotions and evolving the “BIGSTAR Look.”
Since the beginning of his media career in the 1970’s, Garland’s propensity in radio and television has fueled culturally iconic networks, such as MTV and VH1, playing a crucial role in the renowned “I Want My MTV” campaign, and defining mainstream trends in entertainment while simultaneously creating outlets to support independent and unsigned artists.
