Eddie Snyder has joined Atlanta’s Creative Circus as Senior Advisor of Advertising Studies.
When asked about the move, Mr. Snyder says, “I love teaching. After all, It’s what a good creative director does: you teach, nurture, elevate work + inspire. The Creative Circus is the perfect environment for me to do just that.” He continues, “I was overwhelmed by the progress + evolution the Creative Circus has made. I’ve known Dan Balser + Norm Grey for years. And I’m a tremendous fan of Dave Haan, the Executive Director. He’s a visionary that’s made a big difference in the path Advertising Creative Education should take. It’s incredible to be part of such a dynamic team.”
Snyder left his longtime position as Director of Advertising at The Portfolio Center to join The Creative Circus. Mr. Snyder was an instructor at The Porfolio Center starting in 1990, but as of July 19, Mr. Snyder is working with The Creative Circus exclusively.
The Creative Circus is equally thrilled to have Snyder. David Haan says, “Eddie Snyder has been a talented advertising practitioner for many years, but his true gift is as an advertising educator where he is a star. We are thrilled to have him join our team at the Circus. He is a great guy to work with, and students love him.”
Mr. Snyder has been an art director, then creative director + chief creative officer at several agencies over the past 28 years. However, Mr. Snyder spent most of his time as EVP/CCO at Fitzgerald + CO, leading clients like Aruba Tourism, Coca-Cola, Durex, Aflac, The Athlete’s Foot (Nike / Reebok / New Balance) GMAC Insurance, Quikrete, Black + Decker, Haverty’s Furniture, National Black Arts Festival + Time Warner.
In the process, Mr. Snyder has received recognition from all several major shows and publications, including a Cannes Cyber Lion + multiple Cannes Finalists, a rare D&AD Pencil nomination, Art Directors Club, CA, One Show, AICP/ 5 Honors, Graphis, PRINT, CLIO and more.
Mr. Snyder is currently SVP/Chief Creative Officer at The Morrison Agency where he is working on Mitsubishi Electric, Kodak Dental Systems, Movius + Ronald McDonald House Charities of Atlanta.
