Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software as a service provider to more than 1,300 hospitals in the United States, announced its hospital pharmacy clients have documented more than $351 million in pharmacist interventions for the first six months toward the challenge goal of $1 billion in pharmacist interventions in 2010.
The leading pharmacist intervention teams for 2010 with the highest number of clinical interventions and dollars saved per hospital bed will receive a traveling trophy and unrestricted education grant from Pharmacy OneSource at the end of the year.
Pharmacy OneSource is proud to partner with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in support of the organization's new Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative (PPMI). For every $100 million of documented savings due to clinical pharmacy interventions across all hospital clients, Pharmacy OneSource will donate to the PPMI at structured milestones up to $50,000.
Quantifi, Pharmacy OneSource's clinical communication and documentation tool, is used by more than 50,000 healthcare professionals who documented $529 million in savings through interventions in 2009. Quantifi captures both the actual dollar savings via reduction in supply costs and potential costs savings through risk avoidance.
