Elsys Instruments, a leading manufacturer of custom and standard fast, high-precision data acquisition systems, has developed a series of literature that defines the specifications and capabilities of its modular transient recorder product line, including extremely high precision of ±<0.1% (±0.03% typical after calibration) on range and off-set, a feature unique to the data acquisition industry.

The new literature is designed to help users select the right data acquisition equipment for their specific applications, whether it is for small measurement set ups or for large multi-channel (up to 64) test systems with a high speed LAN connection. Up to 16 such systems can be synchronized for a total 1,024 channels. Clearly spelled out are the benefits of deploying such high precision data acquisition systems in applications that require accurate measurement, such as in automotive, power generation, rail transportation, aerospace and other related industries.

Included in the series is information on Elsys’ modular LAN controlled transient recorders, that offer powerful triggering, unique recording modes such as “dead-time-less” streaming and event controlled recording (ECR) as well as deep memory and an unparalleled combination of features for debugging and verification of electrical power, electronics and mechanical designs.

The Elsys TransAS software that can automatically acquire, visualize and analyze complex transient signals is also outlined in the literature series complete with performance parameters and key capabilities.
