The VTC 2100 telematics pc is a cost-effective solution for in-vehicle digital signage applications. Featuring the energy efficient Intel® Atom™ D410 1.6GHz processor, VTC 2100 will play most file formats (including video and crawling text) and can support dual display output. Specifically designed for in-vehicle operation, VTC 2100 can operate directly from a vehicles battery and can withstand the associated surges in power input. With exceptional resistance to shock and vibration and good connectivity, VTC 2100 is the ideal choice for a growing number of in-vehicle digital signage deployments within buses, trains, taxis and other commercial vehicles.
Designed to withstand the rigors of in-vehicle operation, VTC 2100 has been tested for shock and vibration resistance up to MIL-STD-810 (Department of Defense Test Method Standard for Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests) and conforms with most other industry standards including e13 Mark and EN50155.
To enable a diverse range of applications to be considered VTC 2100 is equipped with Mini-PCIe, Bluetooth module (optional), GPS module (optional) and PCI-104. Digital signage content can be updated Lan or Wireless LAN connection (via mini-PCIe) with storage available via SATA 2.5” HDD. Other features include a 2 x RS232 (COM1/2/), 1 x RS485 (COM3), 1 x LVDS interface.
When used in combination with the platform’s GPS function, VTC 2100 enables operators to play location dependent advertising which could be targeted at a specific place/group of people on a vehicles root.
