ADT Workplace delivered the £2.7m works at CNA Insurance’s 23,000 sq ft London office in just 17 weeks, including both the CAT A and B fit out.
ADT Workplace director, David Clemetson, said, “Our latest fit-out for CNA Insurance has been a triumphant effort by everyone involved. The size of the job, allied to such tight timescales, meant some we’re convinced it wasn’t achievable, but I’m pleased to say our project management team delivered on time and budget. Consequently, both we and the client are exceptionally pleased with the result.”
This most recent project for ADT Workplace is a direct result of work the company carried out at CNA Insurance’s brand new offices at 1 New York Street in Manchester’s city centre. The 4,400 sq ft fit-out was carried out by ADT Workplace in 2009 at a cost of £200,000 and was delivered in six weeks.
CNA Insurance’s operations manager, Eddie Rodgers, said, “Following a rigorous tender process, we awarded the London contract to ADT Workplace. Their design captured the essence of the CNA headquarters in Europe and the costing model was robust, as well as demonstrating good value. We already had confidence in the team who delivered the 1 New York Street project in Manchester last year. This was vital, as our completion date could not be moved and meant ADT Workplace had to stick to a 17 week programme, culminating in both the landlords work and our fit out. The end result is an office we are all very proud of.”
ADT Workplace’s current projects (adtworkplace.com) are being carried out whilst the company makes plans for its own new office in Chadderton. The 6,000 sq ft building, which ADT Workplace bought from Simon Marshall in December of last year, will be their new head office and it is planned the company will take occupation in September 2010.
David Clemetson said, “This acquisition is a significant step for the development of ADT Workplace and the new office will help grow our 25 person business to the next level. We’re planning for the environment to be spacious and creative, as well as designing in the flexibility to house the next generation of ADT Workplace team, which we intend to increase to 35 during the next 12 months. We’ve completed the interior design this week and are now scoping out the works. The fit out will start in July, in preparation for us moving in at the end of the summer.”
