Stefanini IT Solutions, a global provider of IT consulting, integration and development, and outsourcing services, will be a sponsor of the Brazilian Association of Information Technology and Communication Companies (Brasscom) Global IT Forum and the Gartner Outsourcing Summit 2010 – Latin America. The forum and the summit together comprise one of the largest IT industry events in Latin America, with nearly 50 major global companies expected to participate, along with leading IT executives, market analysts and opinion makers.
Coordinated by Brasscom and Gartner, a global leader in IT and supply chain research and consulting, these events take place June 8-10 in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janerio.
In conjunction with these events, Stefanini IT Solutions (stefanini.com) will celebrate the opening of a new office in Belgium and their presence in 17 countries, as well as the company’s awards by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), and Frost & Sullivan’s “Excellence in Globalization 2010” premium recognition.
“Brasscom’s objective of promoting business development and showcasing Brazil’s potential as a strategic player in IT is aligned with the Stefanini growth strategy,” said Marco Stefanini, founder and president Stefanini IT Solutions. “Stefanini was the first Brazilian company in this sector to expand internationally, opening a consulting subsidiary branch in Argentina in 1996. Stefanini plans on continuing its growth internationally, with a goal of 40-50 percent of the company’s total revenues coming from its international operations by 2012.”
The events’ agendas include numerous sessions, as well as site visits to local companies. Among the international panelists who have already confirmed their attendance include: Lynn McNeal, TPI Latin American division partner; John McCarthy, Forrester Research Vice President and Principal Analyst; David Tapper, IDC International Outsourcing Vice President and Julia Santos, global Head of Johnson & Johnson Outsourcing Strategies.
The forum will also have speakers, including Berthier Ribeiro Neto, Google engineering director and Carla Rapaport, Economist Intelligence Unit director. Lori Ioannou, Time Inc. News Group executive editor, will be the panels’ moderator.
The Brasscom Global IT Forum is part of a project that looks to promote exports and IT investments and is led by Brasscom in conjunction with APEX-Brasil, Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce and of Science and Technology.
In May, Stefanini was named to the IAOP® 2010 Global Outsourcing 100® service providers list for the first time, and achieved top 5 ranking in two categories – “Leader in Mexico,” and “Leader in South America.” Stefanini and other honorees were selected based on a measurable set of standards as well as an evaluation by a panel of industry-recognized outsourcing leaders.
