Caltron Industries, an industry leader in digital signage, open frame and touch screen monitor solutions, today announced the release of its new LBT-1042O line of LED backlight open-frame monitors. Available in both regular and touchscreen versions, the LBT-1042O LED monitors represent the latest cutting-edge technology in small form factor LED technology. With the LBT-1042O’s options, users now have an affordable and versatile way to take advantage of LED benefits for their application.
“It wasn’t too long ago that you could only choose from bulky tube designs,” say Caltron President Jim Wang. “Thanks to LED technology, they can get better specs in a more flexible thin design – and they’re more environmentally friendly.”
The LBT-1042O LED monitors provide users with maximum functionality thanks to numerous inputs (DVI, composite video, S-Video, BNC), along with serial/USB touch interfaces. In addition to the standard LED monitors, Caltron also offers LBT-1042O in two touch-screen models, LBT-1042OTEAR (5-wire resistive touch screen) and LBT-1042OTEASU (surface acoustic wave touch screen). Best of all, Clatron's LED monitors come at extremely competitive prices.
Today’s flat-panel LED technology gives solution providers and integrators a wider range of choices while offering cost- and energy-efficiency. Caltron’s LED monitors consume less power than traditional CCFL panels and contain no mercury; in terms of manufacturing, LBT-1042O monitors are much more environmentally friendly.
“LED panels are becoming more mainstream because of price, but they’re much more than a prettier picture,” says Wang. “LED’s lower thermal output and thin frame give users maximum flexibility for industrial or commercial settings.”
Regarding performance, Caltron’s FBT-1042 offers 74% greater brightness while using only 27% more power – a much better output-to-consumption ratio, including research-proven longer panel life spans (often double or triple traditional CCFL panels). Caltron’s FBT-1042 monitors also have a larger operational temperature range compared to traditional operating temperature ranges: -30 to +85 °C [-20 to 185 °F] versus 0 to 50°C [32~122°F].
The LBT-1042O LED monitors are available immediately for standalone or OEM usage.
