Christie Intruder Alarms (CIA) of Waterlooville, near Portsmouth, is the first company to take advantage of the one-stop-shop inspection process offered by NSI. CIA was also the first company to achieve simultaneous NSI NACOSS Gold approval for Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control.
Barrie Christie, Chairman of CIA comments: “Approval for the services we offer is fundamental to our commitment to providing customers with the highest quality service. We are well known for our core product of intruder alarms but this Double Fire Gold BAFE accreditation has demonstrated our enthusiasm, commitment and investment in fire protection as well.
“Using NSI for inspection of both BAFE schemes has helped us co-ordinate the inspection process and minimise the disruption and costs involved. We are pleased to choose NSI as our fire approvals body, as we have used NSI for electronic security systems approval for over 30 years. NSI’s high standards give us the confidence that we are offering our customers the best service and it was common sense to extend their services to the fire protection side of our business.”
Pat Baldwin, Field Operations Manager (Systems), who co-ordinates the NSI’s fire industry activities, comments: “Adding the BAFE SP101 scheme to our portfolio was a logical step to support those companies involved in fire extinguisher maintenance, particularly those who are already NSI Fire Gold and Fire Silver approved. We would like to congratulate CIA on being the first company to achieve approval for both schemes.”
