StarTex Power, a retail electricity provider serving the Dallas – Ft. Worth area, is sponsoring Texas native and newly minted PGA Tour Professional, Jerod Turner this season. Turner will make his PGA Tour Texas debut at the upcoming HP Byron Nelson Tournament on May 20th, and Crown Plaza Invitational at Colonial Country Club on May 27th.

A native of Hurst, Texas and father of two, Jerod Turner was working as a general contractor, but dreaming of a career as a golfer. After nine years playing mini-tours and with the help of a little luck, he got a big win at the Soboba Classic on the Nationwide tour last fall, which propelled him onto the PGA tour this year.
