In a nod to the 1950’s era of pop standards and jazz music, Midnight Refrain.Com will issue classic 45 vinyl records of all music releases by artist Laura Shaffer.
The first release, featuring “Don’tcha Go 'Way Mad” and “I’m in the Mood For Love”, will be songs from the upcoming RKO Records Laura Shaffer album “The Julie London Songbook”. The remaining ten songs from the album will also be released in classic 45 vinyl. The entire album will be released on vinyl as well as on CD, and will be available for download as well.
“We think it’s important to release our classic music on the retro formats of the 45 single and the 33 1/3 LP as well as on CD, MP3, and DVD,” said Laura Shaffer from her Midnight Refrain headquarters. “We’re very excited to see the first efforts by RKO Records in issuing this classic 45 and look forward to producing an entire catalog of fabulous music in this manner.”
RKO Records has a four record deal with Laura Shaffer, to be produced through her Midnight Refrain.Com company. RKO Records is the home to such legendary artists as The Harmonicats, The Vagabonds, Edie Adams, Muggsy Spanier, Rudy Vallee, Ted Lewis, Polly Bergen, Lynn Roberts, Fran Warren, and Frances Langford.
The RKO/Midnight Refrain Classic 45s Collection by Laura Shaffer will be available from Amazon.Com, the Midnight Refrain.Com e-Store, and selected jazz record shops across the USA.
