Adorno & Yoss LLP, the nation’s largest certified minority-owned law firm and Corporate Plus member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), has expanded its national footprint by merging with the Wong Fleming firm, a woman- and minority-owned law firm with principal offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey adding 15 additional attorneys and significant coverage in two strategically important states.
The merger, operating locally as Adorno Yoss Wong Fleming, will strengthen the depth of both firms’ commercial litigation, intellectual property, employment and labor, and creditor’s rights and bankruptcy practices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland and nationally as well. Wong Fleming is also a member of the NMSDC.
“We are truly excited to join with a firm we knew by its excellent reputation in the legal diversity space. Over the years, we have worked together serving common clients and have grown used to each other’s high standards of legal services and client care,” said Linda Wong, a senior partner and founder of Wong Fleming.
Merging with Wong Fleming is consistent with the firm’s strategy for growth and expansion of its experience and footprint across the U.S. and internationally. Adorno & Yoss has grown from its three attorneys at its inception in 1986 by identifying firms, often minority-owned, that are looking to grow from mutually beneficial arrangements. In addition to mergers with firms in California, Dallas, and Seattle, the firm also has alliances with firms in Houston, Texas, Chicago, Illinois and Albany, New York.
Adorno & Yoss believes this move will specifically provide more depth in its employment and labor areas as well as in the bread-and-butter commercial and business litigation areas. “We look for firms that will enhance our already strong practice areas and provide our clients with the level of service to which they are accustomed. We know Wong Fleming shares this commitment to quality customer service and the group will be an asset to Adorno & Yoss in this regard,” said Adorno & Yoss managing partner George T. Yoss.
