Heavy-lift freight forwarding network the Project Professionals Group has appointed international air freight wholesaler Air Cargo Group in China as a Project Support Member.
PPG general manger Kevin Stephens said ACG was one of the most successful organizations of its kind and would provide PPG members with value-added international airfreight services exclusively tailored to their needs.
“ACG has excellent global reach that strongly complements the needs of a network like the PPG that is now represented by 140 member offices in 93 countries,” Mr Stephens said.
“ACG’s China representative will provide PPG members with access to special air freight consolidation rates, air cargo charters and specialized neutral air transport handling.”
All ACG members are IATA licensed and users of bonded warehouses and break bulk facilities.
ACG is among the top global air freight players in the air cargo industry offering scheduled air freight consolidations worldwide, airport to door, wholesale express, neutral handling and brokerage, chartering and special air transport.
PPG’s Project Support membership also includes Landstar Carrier Group (Utah, USA); Port of Corpus Christi (Texas, USA); Flinter Shipping B.V. (Barendrecht, Netherlands); Sinokor Merchant Marine-YJC (Seoul, Korea); and Tradelossa (Cobalto, Mexico).
PPG’s new membership category for Project Support Members was recently established specifically for equipment owners and operators and service providers including stevedores, owners of heavy haulage and multi-axle trailers and specialist engineering equipment, ship owners-brokers, rail owners and operators, aircraft owners and operators and air cargo handling equipment, crane companies, barge owners and operators, port authorities, surveyors, insurance companies, and marine consultants.
