This Thursday, May 6th, Women’s eNews will honor 20 women and one man for the passion they have shown and the results they have produced working to improve the lives of women and girls worldwide. The gala, held at Essex House in Manhattan and emceed by President and CEO of the Paley Media Center Pat Mitchell, continues Women’s eNews’ 7 year tradition of highlighting the work of people who are making a difference in the world and sharing their stories.

Amongst the award winners this year are music makers, artists, fundraisers, filmmakers and business leaders, not to mention women of lifelong achievement including journalist turned peace-maker 88-year-old Vivian Castleberry.

Honorees will be available for comment and interview on the 6th of May 5pm-7pm before the formal award ceremony.
