The new version of Training Tracker builds on its key capability of tracking and reporting training participant activity, expenditures, hours and outcomes. Training participants can be employees, students, clients or any kind of participant in any kind of training program. A key benefit with Training Tracker is that it is built upon Microsoft Excel. Training Tracker version 2.0 introduces some very significant enhancements. These include a new style interface, improved navigation, more stable reports, new reports and charts, a data migration wizard and import template, improved data protection and error handling and guidance on customizing reminders and warning flags.
The new data migration wizard, for example, takes all the hassle out of importing the customer’s company data into Training Tracker and exporting it into another workbook. Customers upgrading from a previous version of Training Tracker can now transfer their data into the new version easily and very quickly.
The new version also sees the introduction of click ‘n’ go reports and charts. The customer can now select from one of the many pre-configured reports and charts and click a button. The report or chart is then ready for distribution to managers, customers, participants, or anyone else.
Heath went on to say, “We have also included a facility for easily copying a training report or chart to another program or document. So, for example, a Training Manager who produces a monthly expenditure report to the management team in a Microsoft Word document can now copy the Training Tracker expenditure report table and chart with one click.”
For Training Tracker to run, system requirements are Microsoft Windows 2000 or later and Microsoft Excel 2000 or later. Training Tracker is supplied complete with a comprehensive 51 page User Guide, Quick Start Guide and import template for importing data from other databases. Business Performance P/L has also made available a try before you buy version of Training Tracker. The sample version is populated with data from a fictitious company and is fully functional.
