• Simple Object Access Protocol, for SML web-services communications.
• Web Services Description Language, defining the interface and mechanics of service interaction, so that other applications can access and interact with those web services.
• Universal Description, Discovery and Integration, which registers web services so that users can find them; VisualWorks supports UDDI version 1.0 API.
The white paper also outlines the VisualWorks Web Services components, tools and wizards supporting each standard.
