BLP has just appointed three key salespeople to work with builders and developers. They will lead BLP’s drive to build market share and client care in the house building sector.
Brian Kilroy joins as Business Development Manager and heads up BLP’s sales operation. Zaf Choudry will manage the accounts for the Midlands and South West England as well as Wales. Gillian Cross will manage the accounts for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.
Brian, Zaf and Gillian join BLP’s sales team from successful careers with Zurich Building Guarantee where they built strong reputations for their work with builders and developers.
“The appointment of these three key sales professionals, known and trusted across the industry for their great knowledge and expertise, is evidence of BLP’s determination to recruit the best to build market share over the next 18 months while making sure that we’re giving our best service to builders and developers,” says Simon Main, Managing Director of BLP.
He continues: “They join our sales team to help deliver what we consider to be the most effective and most comprehensive latent defects insurance to market.
“Our mission is to be the preferred choice for latent defects insurance for builders and developers in the UK - and Brian, Zaf and Gillian have a key role to play in this. We have just the kind of specialist cover that builders and developers need,” says Simon Main, MD of BLP.
Will be exhibiting at the Chartered Institute of Housing conference and exhibition, 22-24 June, in Harrogate, UK.
About BLP
BLP is the standard setter in the UK market place for new building and refurbishment defects insurance and technical expertise for residential, commercial and mixed use schemes. In addition to providing the most compelling alternative to the traditional new home warranty, BLP has developed some of the most sophisticated component life cycle and risk management software available for the construction industry.
Building LifePlans Ltd was incorporated in 1999, known now under its trading name of BLP, and is headquartered in the City of London. BLP is a subsidiary of Thomas Miller. BLP is regulated by the FSA and is backed by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty AG (UK Branch), with an insurer financial strength rating of AA.
BLP’s insurance covers the property not the developer. And BLP carries out a unique quality assessment on every risk – be it residential or commercial.
Unlike other providers BLP arranges cover from day one; does not require bonds or indemnities; and does not require proof of liability – just proof of damage.
Known for its quality products, professionalism and technical expertise, BLP has established strong and long-standing relationships with a wide range of customers which include: architects, designers, contractors, builders, housing associations, landlords, tenants, property developers, property consultants, property lawyers, investment bankers and pension fund managers.
Its customer list includes the following organisations: Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Catalyst Housing Group, Newlon Housing Trust, McCabe Builders (UK) Ltd, Highgrange Homes Ltd, JLP Homes, Oakdene Homes plc and The Elegant Group Ltd.
