On May 9th guests can also come out for a brunch, where they will be treated to an authentic four course Italian meal and the music of the Goathouse Madrigal Singers. All proceeds from the events will benefit the Refuge.
“This event is the perfect opportunity for people to come out and enjoy the natural beauty of our sanctuary, Italian culture and good company while helping to support the Goathouse Refuge at the same time,” said Scarpa. “The money we raise will allow us to continue providing our cats with the resources they need to live happy, healthy lives.”
The art show will take place from 11 am to 5 pm in the Refuge gardens on both days. Scarpa’s one-of-a-kind pieces will be on display and available for purchase. On May 8th, a representative from Silpada Jewelry will showcase handcrafted sterling silver designs. A percentage of all jewelry sales will be donated to the Refuge.
The brunch on May 9th will feature an authentic four course Italian meal made with local organic ingredients. The brunch will begin at 2 pm, with seating ending at 4 pm. Guests will enjoy a Renaissance-inspired performance by the Goathouse Madrigal Singers as they dine in the picturesque Refuge gardens beneath large tents. Guests will be treated to complimentary coffee and Italian wine. The cost is $65 per person, and due to limited seating guests are encouraged to make reservations by emailing brunch[.]goathouserefuge.org.
