Winwatch SA announced that the State Intellectual Property Office Of The P.R. China (SIPO) has awarded a patent to Winwatch SA covering proprietary knowledge of RFID technology embedded in watch crystals. The same Method for integrating at least one electronic module in or on the glass of a watch and watch glass obtained by such a method has been previously patented by Winwatch in Switzerland, in Europe i.e. Germany, France and Hong Kong.
Winwatch’s patented technology brings RFID technology embedded in watch glasses to a high branding customer base through consultancy and technical services, pursuing in particular the goal to initiate tests and pilots that can be than successfully finalised by a license agreement. Winwatch’s RFID solution responds to EPC gen2 standard (Logistics & Supply Chain, Product Authentication, Brand Management, Advanced Customer Services, etc.), but also can be compliant to Near Field Communcation (NFC) and Contactless Payments and nascent Mobile Applications for smartphones.
