G4S plc, the world’s leading international security solutions group, has been placed seventh out of 56 organisations in the Britain’s Top Employers 2010 contest which identifies some of the smartest and most forward thinking companies in the country.
G4S, the world’s second largest private employer with a 595,000-strong workforce across more than 110 countries, scooped the accolade in its first year of entry into the scheme, which identifies front runners in excellent human resources management.
The awards programme is run by the CRF Institute which has been conducting international research into top employers for more than 18 years. The Top Employers methodology has been developed by the institute and is based on HR policy based research, objectivity and an independent and selective assessment.
G4S’s placing follows a comprehensive interview process with its senior management and submission of an extensive questionnaire that benchmarked the company’s data. Scores in key areas - including career development, working conditions, company culture and pay and benefits - were ranked by an independent panel of experts using international standards.
