Drawing from a broad category of nominees, the The AliveTek, Inc. Innovation in Distance Learning Administration Award recognizes an individual or organization's development of innovative solutions to the challenges of distance education. These may include: maintaining the core values of higher education, unique training issues, retention, evaluation, assessment, student and faculty support and online services.
“eLearning has grown rapidly, and continues to do so. We appreciate the spark of innovation that we see coming from small companies in the industry, and we want to call those people and organizations out and recognize them for what they bring to the industry as a whole,” said Sandy Mills-Alford, CEO of AliveTek, “We’re proud to be sponsoring this award annually at the DLA conference. The eLearning community is both competitive and supportive, and we’ve been a huge beneficiary of that environment as we’ve grown. This award is one of the ways we’re able to give back to the community and support new talent, so it’s very exciting for us.”
The other Wagner Awards to be given at the DLA2010 conference are the Outstanding Instructional Support Award and the Distance Education Leadership Award.
The DLA 2010 conference will be held June 6 - 9, 2010 in Jekyll Island, GA. For more information about DLA, the DLA 2010 conference, or nomination instructions, visit westga.edu/~distance/dla.
