If you were a book, which one would it be?
If you were an animal, which one would it be?
If you were a meal, which one would it be?
You’ve probably already answered one of these kinds of personality quizzes. So here is a question to ring the changes:
If you were a French cheese, which one would it be?
France is known for its pleasant way of life and wonderful gastronomy. Food and particularly cheese are indeed essential parts of “Bien vivre” or “living well”.
The Vive le Cheese campaign features four French Cheeses avatars. Which one corresponds to your personality? Find out on our website!
• Becky Brie, sweet and mild?
• Cara Camembert, versatile and passionate?
• Eddie Emmental, charming and full of tenderness?
• Elliot Epoisses, rugged-looking outside, with a milky sweet inside?
Becky Brie
Becky Brie is sweet and mild; some may find her cheeky at first, but get to know her, and you'll discover how delicate she is!
French Brie's texture is soft; its creamy and mild taste has made it very popular. Brie can be slightly bitter, but left to ripen, acquires a lovely soft and nutty flavour.
Cara Camembert
Although appearing to be soft, Cara Camembert is actually an extremely intense person. Her versatility always astonishes her friends. She is extremely popular, and knows how to convince skeptics. The world-famous Camembert is made from cow's milk. It has a bloomy rind and a light yellow interior, with a zesty flavour. Some like Camembert butter-smooth, others drier in the middle; what about you?
Eddie Emmental
Eddie Emmental is a tall and captivating chap; his sweet manners and colourful personality always seduce women and gain him new friends.
French Emmental is a huge cheese (an individual wheel can weigh up to 100 kg!). It has a hard texture, with a pale natural rind. However, you'll be surprised by its sweet and subtle flavour.
Elliot Epoisses
At a party, Elliot Epoisses always attracts attention: his witty stories are a trademark. Proud and loud, he also knows when to show his sweet side.
Epoisses (PDO) has a strong aroma, combined with both a salty and milky taste. It is washed with Marc de Bourgogne, which gives it a slightly alcoholic flavour and is easy to spot thanks to its cylindrical shape and wrinkled orange rind.
Get to know all of them with Vive le Cheese! 1 Protected Designation of Origin
“Vive le Cheese” (vivelecheese.co.uk) is an Internet-based campaign launched in the UK in November 2009 to promote French Cheeses. Using interactive media (website, Facebook, Twitter), we aim to show how French Cheeses fit in with a modern UK lifestyle.
Please note that pictures of avatars, cheeses, and recipes are available on request.
Our campaign includes:
• a website
• social sites
The campaign is financed by the French dairy farmers regrouped within CNIEL (the Interprofessional Centre for the Dairy Economy) and FranceAgriMer, a national establishment for agriculture and fishery products, supervised by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
