The accreditation covers the warehousing and transport of chemical and hazardous products and shows that the company is aware of and complies with stringent working parameters in the chemical industry.
Responsible Care is a recognised standard that demonstrates the chemical industry’s commitment to continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental performance. It is a global initiative covering both chemical producers and distributors in 52 countries worldwide. According to the CBA, Responsible Care “… aims to develop an attitude and culture which ensures that chemicals are handled and distributed safely using constantly improving operations and techniques.” The programme provides a third-party confirmation that a distributor’s procedures are correct and working properly.
