@Large Films, Inc., an award-winning commercial film and video production company and home to one of the region's largest indoor studios, is proud to announce company Principal/Director Juliana Lukasik has been elected to serve as Vice-President for the Central Eastside Industrial Council. Her term began in January of 2010.
The Central Eastside Industrial Council (CEIC) is an organization committed to protecting the interests of people who work, own property, or operate a business in the district. A non-profit, volunteer organization, the CEIC has been representing the Central Eastside Industrial District since 1980. Their mission is to maintain the Central Eastside Industrial District as an industrial sanctuary, ensure it continues to be a major employment zone for the city of Portland, and to protect the rights of property owners and businesses in the district. Most recently, the CEIC has been instrumental in the Burnside/Couch Couplet and the Burnside Bridgehead projects.
Juliana has been a member of the CEIC since 2004 and has served on the Board of Directors for the group since then. In the last few months, her role on the East Burnside Couch Design Advisory Committee has led to Lukasik being on the media forefront, speaking on various television and radio programs about the Burnside/Couch Couplet project.
Juliana Lukasik is enthusiastic about her new position on the CEIC board. “I really enjoy working with businesses and neighborhoods to be proactive on issues that affect our district,” said Lukasik.
