Empirical Praxis Ltd are launching a new digital creative hub on the 22nd December, aimed at the home craft market, with a particular focus on card making and scrapbooking. The new craft website called cardtoppers4crafts.com will allow crafters to download unique artwork images, known as card toppers, for use in their paper-crafting projects.
Users will be given the choice of paying a small fee per downloaded image, or a low monthly subscription for unlimited access to downloads. With a library of images which will be added to weekly, this means that both card makers and scapbookers will never again be lost for creative inspiration.
Paper crafting as a hobby is on the rise, and two of the most popular forms of paper-crafting in the UK and US today are card making and scrapbooking. This trend is reflected in the huge volume of paper-crafting companies exhibiting at the Craft and Hobby Association,s annual winter trade show where approximately 75% of the show’s exhibitors are paper-craft related.
In light of the continued growth in popularity of both card making and scrapbooking amongst crafters, Empirical Praxis Ltd decided to launch the new web site dedicated to producing unique original artwork images which crafters can download in the comfort of their own home via their person computer, and then print off onto their choice of craft paper or card stock. Once downloaded, these images can be resized to fit any craft project, from card toppers for greetings cards, to scrapbooking embellishments.
With handmade Christmas and Birthday cards being sold at a premium in stores, crafters have seized upon the consumer appetite for handmade embellished cards and are now returning to a craft that our Victorian ancestors embraced with a passion.
Normally card crafters would have to buy a variety of images to create each greetings card, but buying these individual card toppers can be very expensive. It can also be particularly difficult for crafters to repeat designs if the craft store they bought their original card topper from no longer stocks their favourite designs. With downloadable card toppers, if a crafter wishes to repeat a favoured design, they can just print it out over an over again and experiment with different textured paper and card stock to create unique looks. What is more, cardtoppers4crafts.com has an angel policy which allows crafters to use their royalty free images to make cards and sell them for profit.
