Nylie Designs’, owner Nylie (“Nelly”) Afuyog designs a special pink pearl necklace for the holidays, donating over 50% of the proceeds. Nylie is known in San Diego for her unique jewelry designs and her continued commitment to a number of charitable causes in the community.
Nylie had a purpose with Mariposa’s unique design, Nylie says, “This is my way of showing my love and support to all the beautiful women who are battling breast cancer and to remind everyone who purchases this special holiday gift that they are contributing to help find a cure for breast cancer. “The necklace is adorned with pale, pink pearls and features a signature Nylie Designs sterling silver butterfly charm next to the clasp. Nylie says, “The butterfly is worn on the back, or to the side as a reminder to women surviving breast cancer of their own transformation.” Each necklace is handmade by Nylie, and is available for only available through this holiday season. Mariposa is being sold for $65.00 with $35.00 of every sale being donated to the San Diego Susan G. Komen affiliate.
Nylie Designs is hosting a Holiday Party showcasing Mariposa on Monday, December 7th at the Pearl Hotel in Point Loma, CA from 5pm-8pm. The event is free and open to the public.
