The session moderator Kevin Stephens, based in Brisbane, Australia, is the General Manager of the Project Professionals Group one of the largest heavy-lift 3PL networks of its kind.

Mr Stephens said the $43 billion Gorgon liquefied natural gas project on Barrow Island off Western Australian alone offered project cargo specialists enormous potential as the single largest project undertaken in Australia's resource sector.
“The sheer size and scope of the Barrow Island project will generate some lively discussion regarding the challenges of being involved in this development and meeting the project’s logistics requirements,” Mr Stephens said.

The Gorgon Gas Project is one of 12 proposed LNG projects in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Mr Stephens said other major projects underway in Australia included the nation’s longest road tunnel project in Brisbane, and plans for a $A4 billion port and rail development at Oakajee in Western Australia.
He said $A5.3 billion was committed for power supply projects, particularly renewable energy.
Mr Stephens said the Asia Pacific logistics market would be discussed as a case study during The Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management course to be held in Singapore from 28-29 January, 2010, following Breakbulk Asia.
