Recently, Nappi recorded a version of the traditional Christmas Hymn “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” Co-arranged by producer/songwriter Steve Buonanotte and mixed by Grammy Award-winning mix engineer, Jeff Juliano (John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews Band), the single is available on iTunes and will impact radio on Monday, November 23rd. “This has always been one of my favorite Christmas carols,” states Nappi. “I’m drawn to the holiness, depth, and sincerity that the minor key and beautiful melody create. This is my interpretation of a timeless song.”
Nappi’s debut album Here We Go Again, also recorded with Buonanotte and mixed by Juliano, is out now. “Michael Nappi writes one heck of a song…chock full of hooks and memorable melodies. We're excited that a local guy has given us a song that we wouldn’t be surprised to hear on one of the big NYC stations,” praises Chris Herrmann, Program Director of 107.1 The Peak/WXPK-FM New York. Mike Mullaney, Music Director of Boston’s Mix 104.1/WBMX-FM declares, “The songwriting and production are excellent. Major labels should be looking at him.”
