For its November monthly promotion, Audio Network is showcasing its special Christmas tracks, highlighting the very talented Igor Dvorkin.
Audio Network sponsored Dvorkin when he first arrived in the UK, and after a long and protracted battle with the Home Office, eventually managed to get him his British Passport. Now he works full time with the company as a composer, and even his daughter Lina works in the Audio Network London office.
Dvorkin says, “I loved doing this from the word go. It’s great that I am allowed to be diverse and working with Audio Network feels more like more like working in a family business than the usual company-artist (employer-employee) thing.”
Classically trained, Dvorkin has worked in a huge range of styles with musicians from all over Russia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. His immense knowledge of these regions’ music traditions has proved invaluable to the Audio Network catalogue. He also has an enthusiastic following of admiring producers who commission him for specially composed work. His credits include the titles for Animal 24:7 (BBC1), Animal Rescue Squad (Ch5), 24 Hours With... (ITV) and ads including Volvo and Dell Computers. He also makes frequent appearances on shows like Hollyoaks and The Friday Night Project with Mariah Carey.
Audio Network Creative Director Andrew Sunnucks said, “Igor’s sense of humour and endless and irrepressible enthusiasm makes him a joy to work with. His love of World music and understanding of so many cultures makes him irreplaceable for Audio Network and his positive approach to writing makes the process endlessly enjoyable.”
Audio Network has an innovative licensing model which cuts through the traditionally complex and costly processes of licensing music, by pre-clearing all its tracks for worldwide and multi-platform use. This approach allows producers to make programmes for international distribution, emerging platforms and new media without the need to go through the complicated and expensive process of clearing individual tracks or re-versioning productions.
Audio Network owns the rights to an extensive catalogue of over 30,000 tracks covering the full range of music styles from classical to hip hop and from country to rock‘n roll. Its high quality music, available in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound, is created by established international composers and recorded by major orchestras and artistes including The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Dame Evelyn Glennie OBE and Sir John Dankworth CBE.
The company supplies music and more than 50,000 sound effects to major international film, television, advertising and media clients including Universal Pictures, BBC, Ogilvy and BT Vision.
Audio Network (audionetworkplc.com) also provides original scoring, audio branding and sound design services and is a joint venture between many well known music composers who create bespoke music for license.
