Rapid Recovery will be opening their 13th service location and 6th new location of 2009. Sam Compton of Mebane, North Carolina is the proud owner of the new territory. Sam has been a business owner for more than 15 years and was looking for a business opportunity that would allow him to be in a service business, as well as a business that was environmentally friendly; he found it in Rapid Recovery. “In my research I found that contractors that handle refrigerant were looking for a better way than the typical reclaimer approach. They were looking for a genuine service company that also provided the required EPA documentation and a local representative,” said Compton. Rapid Recovery’s unique model of providing recovery cylinder service at the contractors shop, in addition to jobsite recovery, allows contractors to better utilize their technicians’ time.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Sam was raised farming and was responsible for his own two acre plot at an early age and kept it until he was 21 when he decided to pursue more schooling and different work experiences. Several years later he purchased a convenience store that he has run up until now. He brings many talents into the refrigerant abatement industry. “The contractors in North Carolina will now be able to utilize a true service company for their refrigerant needs,” said Les Rhynard of Rapid Recovery. Rapid Recovery is familiar with North Carolina as they have completed work at Fort Bragg, former Super KMarts, all of the former Winn-Dixie locations, and most recently over 1,100 “cash for clunkers” vehicles, to name a few.

It is remarkable that in this current economic climate that Rapid Recovery could continue to open new markets. With 6 new offices this year, Rapid Recovery was just one location shy of doubling their markets. “The success we are experiencing comes back to our service level and the documentation that we provide. We firmly believe that once a contractor tries our program they will immediately recognize the value added aspect of our program. I think our growth confirms that,” said Rhynard.

Rapid Recovery (raprec.com) offers refrigerant recovery and abatement nationwide through its franchise network. Their customer base includes refrigeration and air conditioning contractors, refrigeration wholesale distributors, demolition contractors, DOD, landfill administrators and in-house service departments. They provide on-site refrigerant recovery solutions, including job-site refrigerant recovery, recovery cylinder service, and refrigerant disposal and documentation services. Rapid Recovery can be contacted by phone toll free.
