AdriaComm, LLC, has been awarded two patents for its online collaborative software, ICUNOW™, that will likely affect existing offerings by videoconferencing and web conferencing rivals. The Patents address the vital aspects of online conferencing that deal with Firewall and NAT traversal. AdriaComm’s own product is designed to offer government and healthcare providers with unparalleled levels of security.
“Online conferencing is estimated by some analysts to grow to $30 Billion by 2012,” says Ned Krtolica, AdriaComm founder and co-developer of ICUNOW. “Given the current level of activity, any forecast is likely to be overtaken by events, but we are seeking partners for both our products and technology. AdriaComm’s ICUNOW is unique in its ability to deliver both web conferencing and videoconferencing functionality, without elaborate set-ups, and is the only product that accommodates H.323 and SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) devices during a session.
Unlike the majority of existing offerings, ICUNOW will be available as a server class product, totally under the control of the user. Its security and encryption capabilities make it suitable for government secure communications and the healthcare privacy requirements of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
AdriaComm (adriacomm.com) is currently negotiating with potential partners, and it will formally launch its products in 2010. The company was formed to develop online collaborative software, including versions that have been tested with individual online users.
