FileNet Corporation (Nasdaq: FILE), the leading provider of Enterprise Content and Business Process Management solutions, has announced the accelerated delivery of FileNet’s P8 platform on HP Integrity servers. FileNet is already a Platinum member of HP’s Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) partner program.
The companies’ expanded relationship enables customers to take full advantage of the scalability, price and performance benefits offered by 64-bit HP Integrity server platform, along with content, process and compliance capabilities provided by FileNet P8. Furthermore, existing FileNet Image Services customers can leverage the same HP Integrity servers for their high-end imaging requirements.
With the forthcoming release of FileNet P8, FileNet plans to provide the necessary enhancements and testing to support HP Integrity servers. FileNet P8 enables companies to streamline and automate business processes, access and manage all forms of content and automate enterprise-wide records management. The combination of FileNet P8 on the integrity server platform will help customers consolidate servers, reduce administration costs and achieve enterprise-class scalability and performance.
“FileNet and HP are aligning our respective resources to provide customers faster access to the latest line of HP Integrity servers and deliver a higher level of performance for our enterprise-class ECM and BPM platform,” said Lee Roberts, FileNet’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “This alliance enables customers to make the most of their content resources with increased performance, scalability and reliability while maintaining overall lower costs.”
HP recently announced its plans to invest US$1 billion annually, for the next five years, in the Integrity server ecosystem in an effort to continually enhance the value that customers derive from the platform.
“Customers using FileNet management solutions will now be able to leverage the array of benefits the Integrity platform brings to mission-critical computing, including flexible capacity, secured availability and simplified management,” said Don Jenkins, Vice President of Marketing, Business Critical Servers, HP.
