The local PR agency led by MD Jo Swann has expanded its workforce after high demand from SME's in the competitive climate after having launched PR consultancy days and workshops to introduce businesses to the opportunities available for their business.

To celebrate Rebecca’s arrival and the success of their consultancy days, and to widen the offer even further, Chocolate PR launched their 'tasty advice day' during Chocolate Week (12 -16 October).

Targeting the sector most affected by the recession, Rebecca is using her past experience of working in the hospitality sector to offer advice to local restaurant owners on how they can get noticed through PR. Hoping to lift the spirits of the local business community, Rebecca has chosen the restaurant sector after reports showed they accounted for 45% of all business failures in the three months before Christmas 2008, and therefore would be the most in need of support at this time of year.

One business owner keen to make the most of the offer was Leeds based chef and Box Pizza owner James Sturdy, who said: “We have taken on board many of Chocolate PR’s ideas and are great believers in trying something new and adapting. We are also currently expanding in the recession after having widened our offer to be more corporate so can now provide businesses with outside catering services as well offering the original takeaway service.”

Rebecca joins the Chocolate PR team in Leeds from Bradford based Approach PR where she was Junior Account Executive for 1 year. As Account Executive, Rebecca will be getting involved in all client accounts and letting her creative juices flow in the PR and events departments.
