Located in Chandler, Arizona, at the southwest corner of Chandler Blvd & Dobson, the Cambria Suites is being developed by HP Properties of Birmingham, Ala. for its client Suenos Hospitality LLC. The project architect is Rodriguez & Associates of Kansas City, MO. The new 137-room, five-story hotel will break ground in early November.

Christine Mackay, Economic Development Director for the City of Chandler said, “The City of Chandler is excited to add a Cambria Suites to our current hotel mix. Chandler has a solid business travel base and we believe that Cambria’s amenities will be very attractive, particularly to those business travelers. Our City has been fortunate to have a number of “first in market” businesses, and we look forward to introducing Cambria Suites’ concept to the Phoenix metro area.”

”Cambria Suites is tailor-made for travelers who are focused on convenience, have an eye for style and look for the amenities and technologies that their lifestyles demand,” said Stephen Dietrich, Regional Vice President for Cambria Suites. “The Chandler property will encompass all these elements.” Cambria Suites, franchised by Choice Hotels International, Inc., competes in the upscale, select service category. The new brand currently has 70 properties open or under development in the U.S. and Canada.

“We were looking for a local expert in hotel construction to team with on our first AZ project,” said Mike Hines, President of HP Properties. “Adam Mays, and his staff at A.R. Mays Construction, have both the experience in our product and approach to quality construction we look for in entering new markets.”

Completion of construction is schedule for 4th Qtr, 2010.
