The agreement allows Freeview to develop an enhanced IPG for the Australian market under the Rovi patent portfolio. Consumer electronic manufacturers incorporating the Freeview IPG will be able to license the necessary IPG patents directly from Rovi.

Freeview brings its viewers more choice and more channels for free, including a 24 hour sports channel on ONE, more world stories on SBSTWO, and a new entertainment channel on GO!
