DK Diagnostics, which is based out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, has now entered the growing U.S medical market with an innovative stool parasite self contained testing kit called PARATEST®. PARATEST® offers an innovative odor-free, one step testing process that will significantly reduce lab cost, increase test result accuracy and delivers results in under fifteen minutes. With over twenty years in the medical diagnostic market internationally, years of research, evaluations and experience, PARATEST® is positioned to outdate the traditional stool examination, while making testing easier with an improved process, less expensive and completely safe.
PARATEST® uses patented a pre-filled, self-contained medical container used for filtering, concentrating and recovering parasites from fixed/preserved body waste. A patented 266 micra-polyester mesh filtration device separates the larger fecal matter from the preserved fecal specimen for quick results. PARATEST® contains and traps the fecal matter allowing parasite forms to pass through the device and then be placed on a glass microscope plate for examination. This new stool testing process can be completed in under fifteen minutes without the use of Ethil Acetate, centrifugation and other materials and instruments allowing PARATEST® to be completely transportable for use with off-site testing.
