Coalmarch Productions®, a leading service provider for online solutions, is proud to announce that Sheena Donnelly will be presenting an information session at Drupalcamp Atlanta 2009, a national event hosted by the Atlanta Drupal User Group (ADUG) and being held on the campus of Kennesaw State University in Atlanta on September 19.
“Drupalcamp has sold out, attracting 250 Drupal developers from around the United States for an interactive exchange of ideas and knowledge,” said Donnelly, a Web site designer at Coalmarch. “I am excited about the opportunity to share my experiences and insights about Drupal theme development to my fellow web designers who are just starting out with Drupal.”
The presentation will be an introduction to the Drupal theme layer and template structure, exploration of popular "base" themes (Zen, 960.gs and Blueprint) and instruction on how to create sub themes and customize the appearance of a Drupal site from scratch. Intended for novices, the session will be of most benefit to users with a strong understanding of HTML and CSS, and a working familiarity with PHP.
At the completion of this session, users will feel confident in beginning their first journey into building a Drupal theme. Users will also be knowledgeable about the technical workings of the Drupal theme layer and many modules helpful to theme development.
Sheena will blog and message via Twitter from the conference. Be sure to check coalmarch's website for text, photos and video on Drupalcamp 2009.
