Rapid Recovery, the largest refrigerant recovery company servicing the continental United States, announces a new service location based in Augusta, GA.
Rapid Recovery will be opening their twelfth service location; the fifth new location of 2009. Their unique business model will give Georgia and South Carolina HVACR and demolition companies a new alternative for dealing with the refrigerant that is part of their work. “Contractors will now have an opportunity to utilize a true service company in regard to their refrigerant recovery needs” said Les Rhynard of Rapid Recovery. The service model touted by Rapid Recovery is centered around knowledgeable, professional and uniformed personnel capable of safely and responsibly recovering refrigerant from systems and cylinders located at jobsites or contractors shops. Going one step further, Rapid Recovery documents each recovery and provides this information to their customer at the end of each year or upon request. This documentation portfolio contains all the information required to be in compliance with the EPA’s Stratospheric Protection Division. “Our customers that utilize our services on each job can simply take the documentation portfolio we provide and file it at the end of the year and have all of their recovered refrigerant accounted for” said Rhynard. This is in stark contrast to contractors that may be utilizing several different sources to recover their cylinders. These contractors would need to get documentation from each source used and compile that information using their own staff. Many companies offering to take recovered refrigerant don’t track the recovered refrigerant turned into them, leaving their contractors open to liability should a refrigerant audit be performed by the EPA’s Stratospheric Protection Division.
Chet and Lizy Frady are the proud new owners of the Augusta – Columbia territory and have lived in Augusta, GA since 1995. Chet spent the past seven years in the chemical and waste disposal business and recognized right away the need for a refrigerant recovery service. Chet and Lizy love the idea of owning and operating a business that also benefits the environment. “We enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds and to know that our business provides a solution for contractors to be in compliance with the environmental laws is very appealing” said Chet Frady. Lizy’s twenty-two years of management experience and Chet’s chemical and environmental experience make this a perfect fit. After thoroughly researching the industry and Rapid Recovery, Chet and Lizy got excited and moved quickly to secure their territory.
With this being the fifth new territory to open in 2009, Rapid Recovery is still hopeful to open several more by the end of the year. In this time of economic uncertainty it seems remarkable to be opening territories at this pace. Rhynard said, “I think our growth can be attributed to our focus on providing the best service solution in regard to refrigerant handling and in part to the frustration of contractors who have experience with more traditional refrigerant programs”.
