The Creative Talent Network (CTN), an exclusive virtual community of top talent professional artists from the animation gaming, film and video industries, announces the launch of the first annual CTN Animation Expo (CTN-X), November 20th – 22nd, 2009. Burbank, for the first time in its history, has joined forces with CTN to officially declare the event as “Animation Week”, where attendees will have access to rare appearances from local and international talent and an opportunity to interact with over fifty presenters from major animation studios including DreamWorks, Disney, Sony and Nickelodeon.
Often referred to as “The Animation Epicenter”, it’s no secret that Burbank has long been home to animation giants such as Walt Disney Animation, Nickelodeon, Jim Henson Studios and Warner Brothers. Now for the first time, CTN brings the world of animation together at the animator’s tradeshow where “X” marks the spot to connect with renowned artists.
“Whether a professional, student or fan, everyone will leave CTN-X with more than they walked in with whether it’s a job, an idea, knowledge, or career connection,” states CTN Founder and 25 year Disney Animation veteran, Tina Price. “Attendees gain privileged access to learn from, bump into, get interviewed and inspired by the creators and industry leaders from some of the highest grossing films in the history of both 2D and 3D animation and have some fun too!”
“We are proud to host the first-ever Animation Expo,” says Burbank’s Deputy City Manager Joy Forbes. “Our city is known around the world for its state-of-the-art studios and production facilities. This will be such a tremendous occasion for the most talented animators in the country and we look forward to their arrival in November.”
CTN-X opens its doors Friday, November 20th thru Sunday, November 22nd at the Burbank Marriott Convention Center conveniently located adjacent from the Burbank Airport and Amtrak Train stations with tickets starting at $25 for exhibit floor, $40 a day pass and $100 for a 3-day pass. Discounted rates are available to students, active military and professional industry organizations.
